Peer Review Process
SEMIORA: Journal of Language, Semiotics, and Culture implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of published articles.
Review Process Stages
- Initial Submission
The manuscript is submitted through the journal’s online system (OJS). - Editorial Screening
The editor evaluates the manuscript’s suitability in terms of scope, format, and basic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements may be rejected at this stage. - Plagiarism Check
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools to ensure originality. - Peer Review
The manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers using a double-blind system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. - Review Decision
Based on reviewers’ comments, the editor will make one of the following decisions:- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
- Revision Process
Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ suggestions within the specified time. - Final Decision
The editor makes the final decision based on the revised manuscript and reviewers’ recommendations. - Publication
Accepted manuscripts will be processed for publication in the upcoming issue.
Review Timeline
The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the revision process.
