Authors who publish with SEMIORA: Journal of Language, Semiotics, and Culture agree to the following terms:

1. Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.
2. The work is simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which permits others to share and adapt the work for any purpose, even commercially, provided proper credit is given to the original author(s) and the initial publication in this journal.
3. Authors are permitted to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
4. Authors are allowed and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or personal websites) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges and earlier and greater citation of published work.
